Kelly Fogarty represents the United States Cattlemen’s Association (USCA) as its Deputy Director of Government and Industry Relations. Kelly operates in the same capacity within Western Skies Strategies and has operated in her current role for USCA for the past year.
Kelly has successfully been a part of coordinating five USCA’s fly-ins to Washington, D.C. and acts as a liaison to both industry and government groups on behalf of USCA. Kelly has also become an active voice for the organization through lobbying efforts on both Congressional and Agency issues.
Kelly was born and raised in the small town of Oakdale, California, in the heart of the Central Valley. She grew up working on her family's 5th generation beef cattle ranch and reveled in the time she was able to work alongside her parents. Kelly graduated from UCLA in 2009 with a degree in Environmental Studies and a minor in Political Science. During her four years at UCLA, Kelly interned for both the state and D.C. office of a California Senator where her work focused on agriculture policy. After graduation, Kelly returned to the family ranch where she worked full-time for a year before deciding to make her way out East to Washington, D.C. While working for her family, Kelly saw the importance of ranchers having a voice in Washington and wanted to contribute her services to the cause. Kelly looks forward to continuing her role with USCA and providing a voice for cattle producers and family ranches in Washington, D.C. |
